Northcliffe has a cosy guest lounge area that you are welcome to enjoy with comfortable sofas, large flat screen TV, and open fire on cold days and sea view. There is free Wi-Fi Internet access available in the lounge area. You can also enjoy the front terrace.

We have six rooms at our Southwold B & B, all designed to ensure you have a relaxing and comfortable stay. The Pier Room, The Sunrise Room and the Lighthouse Room are on the first floor, which is 15 steps from the ground floor. The Sole Bay Room, The Beach Hut Room and The Gun Hill Room are all on the second floor, which is another 15 steps from the first floor. Each room has a Freeview TV, wardrobe, chest of drawers, clock radio, and kettle with tea, herbal tea, coffee, hot chocolate and mineral water.

The ground floor is level throughout with the Lounge at the front of Northcliffe and the dining room behind it. There is no lift at Northcliffe and we are non-smoking throughout.

Food & Drink

Breakfast is served in the Dining room on the ground floor between 8.30 and 9.30am.

We love our food at Northcliffe and use sausages and bacon from Hutsons, our local butcher, and locally sourced free-range eggs and juices.

Breakfast is a relaxed affair starting at 8.30 and available until 9.30. A full English breakfast (vegetarian or fish alternatives on request) follows cereals, juices and fresh seasonal fruits to set you up for the day ahead.

For lunch and evening meals you are spoilt for choice with a range of pubs, restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance of Northcliffe. We can make recommendations during your stay depending upon what you fancy.

Whilst we are not licensed, you are welcome to bring drinks with you to enjoy in your room, glasses and a corkscrew are provided for you.

People with nut allergies should be aware that we do use nuts in the kitchen.

We are happy to supply soya milk, decaffeinated coffee or tea or other alternatives on request. Please advise prior to your arrival.

Pets

As the bedrooms are all on the upper floors, which is carpeted throughout we are unable to accept dogs or other pets. However Blythvalley Kennels on the A12 in nearby Wangford who would be pleased to look after them while you enjoy your stay at Northcliffe B & B.

We have two very friendly Golden Retriever dogs. They are not allowed in the kitchen, dining room or upstairs at any time. They do however have access to the ground floor so Northcliffe B & B would not be suitable for anyone with severe dog allergies or phobias. If guests request in advance we will do our best to ensure the dogs are kept away for the duration of your stay.
